RENEW fabrics must have a minimum requirement of 50% recycled yarn. Many of our qualities have a higher percentage. Our Renew range was developed with these things in mind;
1. Diverting waste from landfill and oceans
Recycled wool re-uses wool from fashion garments and other woollen textiles.
2. Reduces Environmental Impact
RENEW fabrics reduce overall energy consumption by up to 35% compared to virgin materials and reduces usage of dyes, chemicals, and waste water from the textile production process.
3. Better for the climate
Producing recycled polyester is better for the climate, creating up to 75% less CO2 emissions than virgin polyester. Recycled polyester yarns lessens our dependence on petroleum as a source of raw materials and prolongs our waste from entering landfill or incinerators. It also eliminates a significant propotion of the textile manufacturing process thereby reducing the resources required in textile production.
