Go Back In Time With Rone

See a selection of Warwick Fabrics featured in the latest exhibition by Melbourne street artist, Tyrone Wright, aka ‘RONE’. Part of his largest project to date, ‘Time’ is located in Flinders Street Station’s enigmatic ballroom on the top floor which has been turned into a time capsule of what mid-century Melbourne would look like if it were abandoned.

THE TYPING POOL

Gently textured and transitionally toned, our Octavius fabric in Truffle has been transformed to a worn, aged sofa in this deserted breakout living room. Made from 75% recycled wool with an enticing matte finish, Octavius is designed to withstand high traffic environments and is a fabric that will last for years (when not purposefully aged)!

THE LIBRARY

Our favourite room due to its amazing spiral staircases is the eerie, abandoned library which uses our velvet Duke fabric in Kale for the drapery, creating a vintage, moody aesthetic. The rich, dark green hue and luxe, soft texture of the velvet mixed with the wooden accents brings a sense of nostalgia and mystery.

THE WORK ROOM

This mid-century Work Room features our Eastwood fabric in Bordeaux on the stools, and Java on 14 other chairs. Originally made from leather which was on-trend in those times, Eastwood was specifically designed to combine raw yet sophisticated looks with hard-wearing capabilities. It is a timeless fabric.

From the grandness of the Glasshouse in the original ballroom, to the detail found in the rows of original machines in the work room, RONE’s work is one we are always proud to be associated with.
